Al Wasl Plaza, referred to as the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai is the central dome of the Expo 2020 site

1st of October 2021 Expo 2020 Dubai kicked off with a lavish opening ceremony. The massive event – whose purpose is to provide a platform to exchange new perspectives and inspire action to deliver real-life solutions to real-world challenges – will span over a period of 6 months and is expected to attract approximately 25 million visitors.

The Expo was originally meant to kick off one year ago but had to be rescheduled due to Covid-19. Now, when the mega event finally takes place, it will witness the coming together of 192 countries and Jotun UAE has played a big role in the beautification of the different elements.

The Expo site has been painted with over 6 million sqms. of Jotun products which include the Expo theme pavilions – Mobility, Sustainability and Opportunity, heart of Expo – The Wasl Plaza, the grand entrance canopy structures, country pavilions like UAE, Australia, China, Russia, UK and many more.

Every pavilion being unique in its own way, has had unique requirements in terms of protective and decorative paints and we have successfully managed to go beyond expectations and provide for these demands in the best way possible.

With the establishment of Jotun UAE in 1975, the company has grown hand-in-hand with the country and has contributed towards almost all of its major achievements. This includes beautifing its cities or painting iconic buildings and structures, or simply contributing as a leading paints manufacturer in the country through its single source solution of decorative, marine, protective and powder coatings.

It is an honour for us to be the preferred paints provider for another milestone of this calibre and will be something that will be talked about through generations.

The Expo 2020 will be open to visitors from 1st of October 2021 till 31st of March 2022.
